Transition of care
Patient should be sent to PSR (patient service representative) to be evaluated if they can receive health insurance benefits. PSR is located in admitting, in the main hospital, and are open from 8 am to 4 pm. Contact person: Patrice.
Live Translators (Updated 2018.11.28)
If you know in advance you have a Health Plan patient coming in who speaks a different language than you, you can request from HPSJ for a live translator to come to the patient encounter.
The only stipulations are that you have to contact Health Plan at least five business days in advance of the visit and no longer than 30 days in advance of the visit.
If the translation need is Farsi or American Sign Language, give them ten business days.
