Dr. Montes was born in Honduras, and raised in the California. After graduating from UCLA with a degree in physiology, she completed a post bac program at UC Davis, and graduated as a physician from UC Davis School of Medicine. Her mentors have long been family medicine physicians, as they are the heart of family, community, and advocacy. Her passion for full scope family and community medicine led her to obtain a fellowship in surgical obstetrics from PCC Community Wellness/ West Suburban Hospital in Chicago, llinois. There she expanded her scope of prenatal and perinatal care to include patients with substance use disorders, and ongoing social challenges. She joined SJGH Family Medicine Residency as core faculty. Dr. Montes now serves as Co-Director of the OB Advanced Obstetrics Fellowship, where she works closely with OB/ Gyn, MFM, and midwives to provide comprehensive empathic care for patients, while providing a breadth of learning experiences for OB fellows, residents and medical students. Dr. Montes is patient with her learners, and excited to teach GYN, OB, and any FM procedures to students and residents. She loves her dogs, family, and baby plants, and is currently growing an avocado tree from a seed.

Dr. Biring graduated from Acharya Sri Chander college of Medical Sciences and Research in India. She completed her family medicine residency in our institution. After completing her residency she completed FM-OB fellowship at SJGH. Her areas of interest include Primary care, Women’s health, mental health and outpatient procedures including gynecological procedures. She also loves to teach! Outside medicine she likes cooking, dancing to Bollywood music and is a full time mom of 3 kids including twins!
